Hello!
November's issue features some thoughts on creativity. As we become more familiar with digital technology, we find that it's time for us to step back and begin to refocus a little more on the creative aspects of photography while we are actually photographing and a little less on the technical aspects of digital.
We have one more Saturday workshop and then we're finished for the season. But we're hard at work planning next year. We still have a few spaces left in our New Zealand trip in March. We also have a wonderful trip to Wales planned for May. If you are interested in joining us for either trip, please let us know as soon as you possibly can. The hotels in Wales are very strict on cancellation policies, so to aid in our scheduling we are asking that people sign up before mid-January if at all possible. Please see our workshop schedule below for our other locations.
We were fortunate to have good fall color this year in spite of our concerns after a dry summer. We hope that you were able to get out and enjoy the beauty of autumn.
Have fun with your photography this upcoming holiday season! It's a good time to start dropping hints for Santa.

Comments on the Canon EOS Rebel XTI After reading reports on the new Rebel XTI we purchased one as a backup camera to the 20D. We've been very happy with this camera. To list just a few of the highlights, it's a 10.1 megapixel camera, the LCD monitor is 2.5 inches, and if you'd like, when you turn it on or off the Self Cleaning Sensor Unit automatically removes dust adhering to the sensor. The pop up flash sits up fairly high which reduces the amount of glare when shooting through glass, such as at an aquarium. So far the only downside is that there is no LCD display on the top part of the camera so you have to check the back to see the settings. For the price, this is a great SLR.

Tired of having nose and finger prints on your digital LCD screens? One of our folks from this past weekend's workshop had a plastic protector that took care of this problem. Check it out at Hoodman, http://www.hoodmanusa.com/hoodskins.asp
