In Depth — A Photography Seminar at the Tennessee Aquarium

Saturday, January 24, 2009,  9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Our Picture the Aquarium workshops have been very popular. Here is a chance to spend the entire day at the Tennessee Aquarium. This all-day workshop mixes entertaining instructional presentations with hands-on photography sessions in the River and Ocean Journey buildings of the Aquarium. Begin in Ocean Journey before opening to capture colorful butterflies and playful penguins.  Instructors will cover the artistic and technical considerations for creating beautiful nature and travel photographs with impact and emotion. Topics include close-up/macro images, wildlife photography including Aquarium animals, waterfalls, streams and more.  During the day we will visit Aquarium galleries to practice the techniques we have discussed.  Weather permitting we may also photograph the interesting architecture of the aquarium buildings. We will, as always, offer hands-on instruction during the photography sessions. We will offer an optional session for those needing a little help understanding the controls on their camera.  For digital or film photographers of all levels.

Fee: $95 ($75 for aquarium members) Includes instruction and instructional materials, Aquarium admission, refreshments and a BBQ lunch. Limited to 15 participants.
