Smoky Mountains

Townsend, TN

7:00 Wednesday evening, April 14, through 1:00 Sunday afternoon, April 18, 2010

Join us for springtime in the Smokies. Spring brings wildflowers, budding trees, and rushing mountain streams with moss-covered boulders. In addition, we will photograph a Smoky Mountain sunrise, mountain vistas, pastoral landscapes, and pioneer buildings. A list of the locations we often visit are listed below. Plan on spending about 80% of the time out photographing. The remainder of the time will be spent on lectures, slide shows, demonstrations, and critiques of participant's prior work. The workshops will be based at the Talley Ho Inn in Townsend, TN, the “quiet side of the Smokies.” Harold Stinnette often joins us as a co-instructor to ensure individual attention and add variety to the workshop. We have a provision for non-participating friends and spouses who would like to join us in the field and for meals. Nearby Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge provide a variety of shopping and sightseeing experiences. We can arrange airport pickup for our out-of-town participants who elect to fly into the Knoxville airport on Wednesday and out on Sunday afternoon. This popular workshop fills quickly so early registration is advised.
